Eldon and Mary Hixson owned and operated the Hixson Funeral Home in Gower and Edgerton, Missouri from 1960 to 1977.  In January of 1977, Jack and Shari Klein purchased the funeral homes.  In 1982, their name was added to the firm - making it Hixson-Klein Funeral Home.  The Kleins' sons, Casey & Corey, received their embalmer's & Funeral directors licenses & joined the firm in 1998.  Daughter Christa (Klein) Musser joined the family business in 1999.  In January of 2000, the chapel in Smithville was opened.  Corey's wife, Mandy, also joined the family business in 2001.
